    Hello everyone, I know we all hate that word "Rule" but I couldn't find any place else that this would fit properly. I just wanted to remind/inform everyone about the Help System and give a quick rundown of how to use it for those that are new to UO, or havent played in a long time, or are new to private shards.

    All of the staff loves talking to the players, finding out how you are doing in your lives (both ingame and in real life) and we dearly love getting feedback from you all so keep givng us ideas, informing us of bugs that you find, and even tell us when we "mess up" so that we can try to make it right or explain why we did something a certain way.

    We do need to ask a favor of everyone though. When you are in need of assistance in the game that requires a staff member please put in a help request instead of pming a staff member directly. With everything that has been going on lately some of you may be feeling neglected because pm's were not answered right away or staff may not have received them at all (our inbox only holds 50 messages just like yours and they fill up fast lol). We never want out players to feel neglected or that they do not matter because we would not be here without you.

    There are two ways to get to the help system. You can click the "Help" button on your paperdoll, or you can click "Help" in your actions/toolbar at the top of your screen, both of these methods will bring up the same gump. When you click the help button you will get a gump with 5 options.

    1. A link to the Knights of The Round Table website. Here you will find links to the voting sites, the forums, the hue download site, as well as a general overview and information about the shard.

    2. A link to KOTRT forums. Please make sure that you create an account on the forums when you create a player account and check the forums daily for any important information that staff or other players may need to impart to you.

    3. Page Staff. (use this to page staff with game issues or technical questions concerning the game )

    4. "My character is stuck" this option is if you are physically stuck and cannot move. Choosing this option will open a window asking you which city you wish to be transported to. Please do not abuse this system and use it as a form of normal travel throughout the shard, you have runebooks, travel books and the [myhouses command.

    5. Close (this closes the help system gump).


    Not ALL staff members are on ALL the time, in fact we are in the process of developing a schedule so that all staff members will have an assigned "Staff Day" to answer pages, assist players, greet new players, place houses for players etc... This does not mean that Staffers will only be in the game on their staff day, just that it will be someone elses day to answer pages so the other staffers that are on can complete their projects, teach other staffers how to do new things, assist Gwen and Merlin with important tasks etc.

    okay I need to add something to this post. When you page for staff please stay where you were when you paged. If something happens that you must go someplace else remove your help request from the system. If a staff member goes to the location the page was placed from and you are not there your page will be removed from the queue and most likely not be answered. I am one of the few that goes to the pager as opposed to the page location, but if I come to you and you are in the middle of combat or a champ spawn I will removed your page UNLESS your page pertains to that particular mob or champ.
