We are glad that you chose KoTRT as your new UO Home.
Let me take a moment to share some information about our shard.
First and foremost -
DO NOT ASK TO BE MADE STAFF!!!! WE WATCH ALL PLAYERS FOR ABILITY TO LEARN AND PLAY. IF WE FEEL THAT YOU WILL MAKE A POSITIVE CONTRIBUTION TO THE SHARD WE WILL APPROACH YOU WITH AN OFFER IN DUE TIME!! Anyone asking to be made staff upon creation will be placed on a “NEVER OFFER LIST” and will never been considered for a staff position in the future. All players who are offered a staff position MUST be active players, the account must be a minimum of 30 – 60 days old; they must show a willingness to play fairly, and an ability to learn quickly as well as flexibility in both personality and attitude. All new staff members must be voted on and approved by ALL staff members and will start out in a councilor position for a minimum of 30 days.

Now if you are still with me let’s get down to the basics shall we -
Skills - You start with a skill ball in your backpack which will allow you to choose 10 skills that will each receive 100 pts. Do Not close this window or click complete until you have picked all 10 skills. Doing so will cause the Skill ball to disappear and you will have to page staff to set your skills for you.
We do not technically have a skill cap; you can get each skill to 120 pts in all 55 skills for a total of 6,600 pts.
Stats – You will start with a stat ball in your backpack. This Stat ball will allow you to set your stats yourself. There is a 150 individual stat cap, and your stat ball will allow you to use up to 300 stat points. These stat adjustments are ONLY allowed on the first character. There is also a +25 stat scroll out there that will allow you to increase your stats to an overall total of 325.
There is a book in your back pack on creation that lists suggested skills and stat settings. These are not required settings but they are highly suggested to help your character grow quickly and allow you to take on some of the harder mobs we have.
We have a tour guide system which will take you on a brief tour of the shard. Just type in [tour after you have used your skill ball and stat ball for an automated tour of the shard.
We have a custom Hue file so make sure you download it so you can see our nearly 3,000 hues.
We allow up to six characters per account. You can choose to play all of these characters or just use the gold to help your main character get started. Each character recieves ONE personal bless deed. These deeds must be linked by staff and you can only link one personal bless deed per character therefore they cannot be transfered to any other characters. These personal bless deeds are removable so it is suggested that to start with you use it on your Newbie Ring and you can remove it at a later time and place it on something you deem more important. You can also turn in your sub characters personal bless deeds for pet bond deeds or clothing bless deeds for your main character if you like.
Your first house foundation is free of charge and we allow up to three houses per account with very generous townhouse yards as long as your house is not inside a town (meaning you can lockdown, and secure in your yard). One account per player, if you need more than one account for your IP please page staff. (see the multiple accounts thread in the shard rules section of the forums for a list of the accounts rules)
We have over 50 Custom Quests for everything from storage keys to armor, weapons, pet slot deeds (you can have up to 8 pet slots) and many other essential items for the adventurer in all of us as well as things you will NOT FIND on other shards to make your adventuring that much more enjoyable.
We have a working shard economy and a mall for player vendors.
For the Crafters out there we have craftable Gem Weapons, Marble Working, Carpet Weaving, Pillow Crafting, Wine Crafting, Harvestable plants (cotton, Flax, wheat, fruits and veggies) and many other crafts to keep you busy. We also have growable/harvestable reagents.
For the designer and decorator in us all we have a HUGE Deco Mall with many custom items, new items are added monthly. We also have seasonal deco that changes as the seasons and holidays do.
We have recently added a Newbie Dungeon as well as a Vets Dungeon for those that have already mastered the other beasts in our fair lands. We have Bomber man, Paintball, and Monster Bash just to name a few of our events and we will be adding more soon.
We are expanding and bettering the shard weekly and sometimes daily so come check out Knights of The Round Table and see if we are the UO Home for you.
